It’s ALWAYS great to be mentioned on a Top Ten List of ANYTHING … well, maybe not “Mass Murderers” or “Worst Farters” … so I guess I’d better clarify that comment JUST a little bit to restate it as ANYTHING to do with OLDIES MUSIC!!! And it means SO much more when you’re named “Top Ten” by somebody who REALLY knows his stuff. Clearly, ARTIE, you have EXCELLENT taste … and you DO know your stuff!!! (lol) Thank YOU for all that YOU do to help keep all of this great music alive in a time where FAR too many folks are trying to write it off as “old hat”, “meaningless” and “unimportant”. Of course WE know better and thanks to sites like yours, FORGOTTEN HITS and all of the OTHER great sites mentioned on your list, there IS a place for fans of this music to go and enjoy it once again … and, hopefully, along the way, introduce it to a whole NEW generation of music fans who will come to love it as much as WE do. Thanks again … and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely! (Yeah, I know … THE MOONGLOWS!!!)

I was just reading in a back issue of the LA Times (Oct. 4, 1958) that fifty years ago you (or someone with your name) issued a 45rpm entitled: “Ooooh, You Said The Magic Word.” Are you the one responsible for this timeless rocker?

Hi Artie, How ya doin’? Thanks so much for including Oldies Connection on your list; it’s an honor to be included with these heavy hitters. As well as your own site, my favorites include Ronnie Allen’s archives, Over 50 Music (great concept!), and, last but not least, the fabulous Spectropop site and group. I hope to find the time to expand Oldies Connection to include many more articles and interviews.

By the by, speaking of great music – I saw Ron Dante and Andy Kim in concert on October 11; photos will be posted soon.
