it’s death to be called the New Beatles…
but apparently, it’s ok to be called the future of rock ‘n roll.

The dance steps are somewhat corny; but the vocals are tight!!!

No, not the new Beatles, nor the future of rock and roll, and definitely not Dancing With The Stars – but they do have amazing vocals and great range. Now all they need is some original material that is worthy of their outstanding talents. (And losing the stupid outfits and makeup might help them be taken more seriously….)

Just when you think you’ve heard it all….here comes this The New Beatles…..forget the name, I say and find a new one…..no faces is a good idea and so is no music. They are great! Accepello at it’s best!

Thanks Artie for posting this YouTube clip by the “Voca People”. Clearly they are a very talented ensemble. But “the new Beatles”? No way Jose — apart from the fact that the very concept of another phenomenon of that ilk and global scale could ever again occur, I do not see a group of 8 people (3 females, 5 males) dressed uniformly like this, wearing odd head scarves, and sans instrumentation becoming more than a nice but brief sideshow in our “20 minutes of fame” world. Now if they could come up with something actually original — as in their own songs, their own musical genre — I would be ready to pay more attention. But they are not the first vocal ensemble to offer something along the line of what I viewed on YouTube — albeit maybe the most talented of that ilk.
Again, thanks for clueing us in…

I think the Voca people are great. To call them the new Beatles is a bit of a stretch. The Beatles did not replicate bits of old standards in a novel way, they created a new music that struck a resonant cord in a whole generation.
