NOW HERE’S ART MUNSON TO GIVE US ALL AN UPDATE…
“It has now been over two years since I started my website Since that time the site has grown to over 400 listings of music libraries that specialize in placing music in TV and Films, webcasts, corporate videos and any media that needs music. The emphasis, though, is on TV placements and mainly instrumental music. There are also over 5000 comments from users around the globe. Many of those comments are composer’s experiences working with those libraries as well as comments answering questions and sharing information with each other. This is an invaluable resource if a composer is thinking of working with a music libraries.
There are many active threads as well as new features. They include “Newbie Questions”, “Copyright Questions”, “General Questions”, “Collaborations”, “Jukebox” (where composers can feature some of their music) and “Cue Critiques” (where composers can request critiques of their music). The site has also attracted many industry professionals that visit on a regular basis.
All in all MLR (Music Library Report) has been, and continues to be, a very rewarding experience for my myself and thousand of composers from around the world.
