Dear R. Twain,
I want to add my voice to the many cheers of congratulations on your one million milestone.
Like songwriting, it seems that with blogging, one starts with nothing but a concept, & attempts to turn it into a valuable entity with a life of its own.
So knowing your impressive success as a songwriter, it’s been interesting to watch you once again create a “million seller” in the internet age.
May this be just the beginning!
Chordially,
Alan

I’m so thrilled for you. I always find it full of stuff I never knew. So clear and inciteful. Who would have thunk that in the 40 years that I’ve known you that you’d continue to teach me things?
Thank you for keeping the music alive.
Your friend, always

Artie,
What can I say? I’m proud to see your blog be so successful. I’ve followed this blog from very early on, in fact I remember when you decided to close your guestbook on your website in order to open this blog instead. I’ve enjoyed your stories and comments that have been posted including many stories from this book of yours that I keep anticipating.
I look forward to many more stories and comments, and many more millions of hits on your blog. Wishing you all the best with the future of your blog! Your next million hits won’t be that far off. Your blog is ever growing in popularity, and soon enough it will skyrocket, especially when such an amazing list of people view and comment on the blog as well.
Wishing you all the best,
Tom Diehl

Dear Artie,
One Million hits….I thought you reached that level at Warner Bros. Music ! ? !
You have been responsible for more music entering the consciousness of america than most of those whom books have been written and awards presented. You may not be considered an Icon, but you are definitely legendary. As I had mentioned to you before, when I was a child, I spend many a saturday morning at my father’s work with his boss Mr. Hughes. When you are that young, simple things said to you in passing are often remembered for a lifetime. He told me that “…if you live long enough, and stay in stay in the same business, you can often become a “living legend”…..Artie, you have accomplished this….You are truly a living legend!
Congrats.

I’m not anywhere near the first to comment here but I assure you that my feelings are as heartfelt as everyone else’s. I certainly agree with everything that’s been said so far ….. glad to second everyone’s emotions here!
This is truly an amazing accomplishment and most well-deserved.
It’s not just what you say but HOW you say it. And it’s not just what you put up in terms of videos but HOW you do it!
You have a wonderful knack for what you do and I know that everyone, such as myself, who shares a passion for the music that you are helping keep alive are forever grateful.
Looking forward to congratulating you on TWO million hits!

HAVE KNOWN ARTIE WAYNE SINCE THE EARLY AND COLORFUL DAYS ON BROADWAY IN NYC, WHEN WE RUBBED ELBOWS..I BELIEVE HE USED TO BE AFFECTIONATLY KNOWN AS ‘THE SHADOW’ BECAUSE OF THE OUTRAGEOUS HAT AND CAPE-LIKE COAT HE USED TO WEAR..ARTIE HAS DEDICATED HIMSELF TO KEEPING US INFORMED MUSICALLY FROM HIS BROAD LIFE EXPERIENCE IN MUSIC AND LIFE, AND HIS COLLECTED RESPECT FROM MANY OF US WHO HE HAS WRITTEN ABOUT. CONGRATS ON THE ONE MILLION HITS YOUR BLOG HAS ACCUMULATED, ARTIE!

Congrats, Artie! It’s been forty years since Woodstock and keeping track of all those hits is a chore in itself (braces self for slap), but this is far more significant. You are making your mark in a way few in the industry will ever know, and to share it with the world the way you’ve done puts you heard and shoulders above the rest. Keep the great stories coming and I’m looking forward to the new book.
August 20, 2009 at 1:29 am
Hey Artie, WOW, One million Hits!!!!!!!, I’m not surprised, your page is always packed with fun and interesting industry facts and I enjoy popping on regularly to catch up and to read your spin on music industry events. God bless ya my old and dear friend. Peace out. J.D. Nicholas.

Hey Artie,
I always knew you were talented and smart and the Blog is great. It’s so interesting to me because even though many of us were in the thick of it, we didn’t always know what others were thinking or doing behind the scenes. Maybe that’s my take as a performer since I was on the “road” so much back then, but it is facinating to read the stories. Even just reading the comment list, I see the names of some very long ago business and personal friends and it brings back many memories, mostly good:-). Much success to you in all your future endeavors.

Artie – This is an amazing milestone, Buddy! Of course, this means you’ve gone platinum. Congratulations a bazillion on your first million.
September 20, 2009 at 1:54 am
As others have stated, your million (and counting) page views is another “platinum” accomplishment to add to your collection. Congrats.
I am happy to have made my own small contribution to the success of the blog (by introducing you to the possibilities that exist in the world of blogs a few years ago) and am pleased that you achieved some well-deserved notoriety and attention from your blogging efforts.
You should, yourself, find a great deal of satisfaction and fulfillment knowing that your dedication and tireless efforts to share your memories have brought such a large degree of “good vibes” and fond recollections from the thousands who regularly take in the great content you share. Best of luck with your book and the contless other deals you have in the works (as always)!
P.S. Hello to all my friends and former cohorts in the business! Nice to have a blog like this to keep a community of like-minded folks together!
